Hello, everyone! Just for a change of pace, I thought I would bring you something interesting, from our sidewalk to the Internet. Enjoy!
Around the Fourth of July last year, we (and by we I mean myself and Jewel) got into the mood to do some chalk with Raya. The results were, to say the least, a bit astonishing, and not a little eye-catching.
We did new drawings all summer, and then this summer as well. The pictures you see here are all either from this year or last year.
It was a start. The drawings ranged from the patriotic to the mundane.
Some were in celebration of summer.
Others ranged along the edges of the fantastic.
And as always, flowers are generally popular…
Then there are the religious.
And finally, what would we do without hearts?
Or rainbows…
Or sunsets.
I myself am a long-time fan of Baroness Orczy’s The Scarlet Pimpernel.
We discovered that Tangled was well-worth drawing out…
Especially since Rapunzel does exactly the same thing at one point, doesn’t she?
Star Wars received its dues…
And then, in honor of The Hobbit…
The Lord of the Rings is always popular as well… so well-loved…
I hope you enjoyed our little sidewalk chalk exhibition… which certainly gives a new meaning to the term “sidewalk exhibition”, doesn’t it? May the Road go ever, ever on for you and those you love, until you turn at last to home afar.
You like the Scarlet Pimpernel!!! Yay! Have you read the sequel?
Yes! More than one of them, actually 😉 We found them on the Amazon Kindle store for free. 😀 I LOVE “The Scarlet Pimpernel” series!!! 😀
Wow. The Road one is my favorite, but they’re all lovely. (This is Lisse of Imladris, btw, scanning through your blog. =D)
Hey! 😀 Nice to see ya, and glad you liked it. 😀 I should really get some more of my artwork up here. 😉 I have one all ready, it’s a cute Jedi Padawan who’s fallen asleep on the way somewhere… ;-P
Young Obi-Wan is so adorable. 😛
That’s great chalk drawling. When I used to do it, it was for military stuff. Like vehicles to move around on.
Thanks! (Almost wrote “tanks” there… X-P) I’m confused… were you playing military, or actually drawing the vehicles for art, or what???
*laughing* Playing military! Draw airports and stuff for the planes. Never was a good drawler.
Ahhhhh! Cool! 🙂
I’m not perfect, I grant, but I’ve had practice and lots of it. A lot of younger siblings, you see. 😉
You’re way better at it then the professor.
🙂 Thanks. *blushes*
