Thanks to everyone’s prayers, I now have a new job! I’ll be working at Gordman’s, probably in the home decoration side of the store.
I just wanted to thank you all so much for all your prayers and support. π

Congratulations on getting a new job!
Thank you for your prayers!

Thank you guys for having my back! π
Congrats! π Super happy for ya, girl!
Thank you π
YAYA!!!! (No idea what a Gordnam is, now just praying it’s a way, way better job than your last one.)
It’s a sort of department store in the US, which sells decorations and furnishings and clothes and it’s supposed to be cheaper than elsewhere. (Sneakers for twelve dollars. Isn’t that crazy?!)
Okay… (converts rapidly) that’s actually not bad for sneakers. (Think I’ve worked out the NZ equivalent of Gordman’s.)
Not bad?! Converse can cost up to $55! Yikes! (Also I found this really neat ring. It looks really bizarre and alien and I decided to make it a part of my Doctor Who cosplays.)
Oh, gosh, I thought you meant own-brand sneakers! That’s very not bad. (Also, cool!)
No, store brand ones are cheaper. Converse are expensive. (Though at Gordmans, the $50 ones were selling at $40-ish, I think.) But that’s still ridiculous. Marx would be rolling in his grave. Talk about product fetishization π
YAY π *high fives and confetti for all*
