Allies

These are some of my favorite places on the web.

To a Star Wars novel I helped to co-write, and an ongoing blog, by my good friend coruscantbookshelf:

Against the Shadows

To an artist friend and the illustrator of Bound to the Flame, the wonderful Sheikiah:

Dark Link/Light Link

To the Punchy Lands, where you will meet the professor for general dadblamery:

The Punchy Lands

To Old College, where Deputy Head Porter researches the mysteries of the College:

Secret Diary of PorterGirl

To my dear friend Iris (aka Irisbloom5)’s blog:

The Road Goes On

To Sarah’s blog:

Light and Shadows

To Proverbs31teen’s blog:

I also frequent the Lego Star Wars Creations Wiki (I used to frequent the Star Wars Creations Gallery on lego.com… now, not so much…), and I think that’s about it. Unfortunately, Iris has gone inactive on the Wiki, and probably lego.com as well. It couldn’t really last forever, though, could it. Sadly, she doesn’t have a blog yet. *sniff*

Author’s Note: I wound up removing the link to my parish website. It was… *sigh* it was just that it wasn’t really safe, in case someone on the Internet is stalking me. Hopefully no one knows how to track my personal IP. It’s not because I didn’t want it on here–it pained me to do it–but it’s for safety’s sake, and I apologize to every one of my readers for being such a bad example, even if it was purely a mistake (or rather, error in judgement) in the first place.

Proverbs31Teen is awesome!!! And the Punchy Land is great too!! You have good taste!

  2. Okay, so I had no idea where to post this comment..so yeah. I was wondering about the TSS thing, if you wanted me to check with my parents and see if it’s okay for me to start another blog for it (so I don’t have to go on my dad’s email to accept and all that), and then we can invite whoever you guys want? Just wondering, didn’t know if you guys were planning through that already or not. πŸ™‚

    • Hmmm… that sounds like a good idea. I suppose we could start another one… but the last time I was invited to become an author on a blog, I couldn’t figure out how to get it to work. Maybe I should try making the blog and invite everyone else as authors? πŸ˜‰ And we can post links on our blogs… I should make a cool badge for us to use! πŸ˜‰

      • That would work, too. Either way works, I’ve done it before for a school site, inviting other authors, that is. And then I had to invite myself, so I know how to do both parts. πŸ˜‰ A badge would be awesome! I love playing around in photoshop, but I stink at creating things from scratch. πŸ˜›

      • Ahhh…. πŸ™‚ I could maybe draw something. But it would have to be dynamic without being too chunky. I’ll give it some thought. πŸ˜‰

      • Drawing… πŸ˜€ I haven’t heard from anyone else what they’re powers are. What did you say yours were?

      • I need to clarify that… My powers are telepathy, empathy, and the occasional “psychic” flash. πŸ˜‰

      • Ah, okay, I think I remember that. πŸ˜‰ We need to find one blog or post or something for everyone to just talk back and forth on, so everyone can keep up to date.

      • Yeah… I’m starting to lean towards the idea of the shared blog. I don’t know about being the only blog admin, though. I think we should have two blog admins, for the sake of balance and regulation, and everyone else is an editor… Maybe we could, if other people want to join, we could see about making them contributors or authors at first, and then move them up after a set period?

      • Yeah, that’s a good idea! I found out that authors can’t do anything except write and post, but I knew the admin so I went in and changed it. πŸ˜‰ But yeah, I think two or three admins is a good idea. Like a president/vice president sort of thing.

      • Yup. That way, if something happens and one admin can’t manage things, the other will be able to take over. πŸ™‚ I should check the “ranks” WordPress offers again… And maybe we can hold elections for the Admins, that is, if Admin status can be revoked, given there is more than one admin…

      • I think the original admin, the one who creates the blog has to stay an admin, which is another reason for you to start the blog instead of me. πŸ˜‰ I do think we should have a limited number of both admins and editors, just to keep things sane. πŸ˜‰

      • Ahhhh… Yeah. That would make sense. πŸ˜‰ I’ll have to read up and see if rights on a blog (other than just commenters) can be revoked, in case we have a serious disciplinary issue or the blog is hacked… and if those can be restored once revoked….

      • I think it’s the admin’s decision, but I could easily be wrong. πŸ˜‰

      • Yeah… I need to look at the information again. πŸ˜‰

      • Just in case, you know. πŸ™‚ I’ve had friends who were very quiet until I got to know them and then were bombastic, and then there are some people who misbehave only once they know you…

      • I wouldn’t say I misbehave, but I have an… odd mind. But, considering that you know me through blogging and not real life, you’ve probably already figured that out. πŸ˜‰ I’m super shy until I get to know people.

      • Yeah. πŸ˜› But I just want to err on the side of caution. I don’t think that any of the people I know already would sabotage things, but if people later on do, I’d rather be prepared. πŸ˜‰

      • Definitely. If they start out as authors, at least, all they can do is write posts and post them, and it’s pretty easy to delete posts and pages and that kind of thing.

      • Yeah. πŸ™‚ Especially for the Admin. πŸ˜›

      • Right! πŸ˜€ I think you can make it to where the Admin has to approve posts, too, but I may be wrong.

      • I don’t know if I’d want to make it like that. πŸ˜› But I would be reading the posts and seeing if they conformed to style. πŸ˜‰

      • Definitely. πŸ˜€ What would be the style of the posts, anyway? Would it be like the YAvengers with writing stuff, or more like actual stories?

      • Actual stories, I think. πŸ˜‰ Though we might do asides with writing tips as well. I didn’t think about that. πŸ˜‰
Speaking of which, I should probably tell Iris about it and see if we want anyone else to join. I was thinking of inviting Iris, Sarahtps (if she can; she hasn’t been able to tell me definitely yet), and coruscantbookshelf, aka Rosalie. πŸ˜‰

      • Cool! Like an ongoing blogging roleplay. πŸ˜‰

      • Yup. πŸ˜‰ I don’t think we should be posting in any sort of order… Oh, I wanted to ask. What would your superpower(s) be, and what name would you prefer to go by (superhero name and/or secret identity)? Once I’ve heard back from everyone, we can get started and I can see what I can do. πŸ˜‰
Also, we should have a disclaimer page that says that since we’re teenagers and are also often busy saving the world, we don’t always post regularly on the blog. ;-P

      • Ooh, I like the disclaimer idea!!! πŸ˜€
My superpowers would definitely be teleporting and advanced training. (Black Widow style training. πŸ˜‰ So basically a ninja-assassin.) I’ll have to work on the superhero name and secret identity. I’ll get back to you on that. πŸ˜‰

      • Cool! πŸ˜€ I’m a telepath/empath, with the occasional psychic (?) flash. πŸ˜› So, naturally I’m the communications and information officer. πŸ˜‰ I’m also going to be a martial artist…. I think Iris signed on as the team’s trainer. πŸ˜‰

      • Ooh, she’s going to train us??? πŸ˜€ Now that’ll be fun…

      • πŸ˜› Well, she is in Civil Air Patrol. πŸ˜› So I’d say she’s the natural choice. πŸ˜›

      • Ah, I remember her mentioning that. I hope she’s better than what’s-his-face… *google* Colonel Chester Phillips, from Captain America 1. “He’s still skinny.”

      • X-D I’m pretty sure she is. πŸ˜›

      • He was so sweet at the end, though. He looked so sad. 😦

      • *sniffles* *bursts into tears* YES!!! I WANT TO SEE IT AGAIN AND JUST BAWL FREELY ON THE COUCH… *ahem* But I can’t wait to see “Avengers” and “Winter Soldier.” I think Cap might just be my favorite Avenger, though… Oh, and probably Bruce Banner too. πŸ˜›
I just posted on why everyone should go see the movie. πŸ˜‰ It’s the most fun thing I’ve seen in a while. πŸ˜‰

      • If you liked that movie, you will LOVE the Avengers. πŸ˜‰ I watched the Avengers first, so I had no previous biases. I only knew who Iron Man and the Hulk were. πŸ˜›

      • I can’t wait to see it! πŸ˜€

      • I thought about posting a review on my blog after I watched it, but… yeah, that would be a mess. πŸ˜›

      • X-D Don’t worry about it–I LOVE your Superhero Sunday posts! πŸ˜€ (Also, thanks for the reblog! πŸ˜€ )

      • Thanks! I have a combo Avengers/TobyMac one for this Sunday. πŸ˜‰ But it’s short. You’re welcome! I couldn’t resist. πŸ˜‰

      • Cool! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ I can’t wait to see it!

      • I’m stuck for a name. Has anyone else come up with theirs yet? Do you know what yours is? πŸ˜€

      • I had an identity for another roleplay that I was thinking of using. The name was Lannis Raehe, but I’ll probably end up toning it down quite a bit. (I have to do that quite often with character’s names, too… the first attempt is normally a bit… much. :-P)

      • Ah, I like it! I found a site with a superhero name generator, and some of them were pretty good. Some were pretty weird, like The Heavy Raccoon and The Angry Termite. I was thinking we could use some of them, like The Shroud, The Sentinel, Dark Flame, Nighthawk, Rapid Swallow, Wildflame… I just wasn’t sure what everyone else was doing. πŸ˜‰

      • πŸ˜› IDK… I think that we’d pick our names a little further on. πŸ˜‰ After the incident where we first realized our superpowers.

      • Ooh, that would work, too. Phew, that takes the pressure off a little. πŸ˜‰ I think I’m getting close to a good real name.

      • πŸ˜€ That’s good. πŸ™‚
